Wet ‘n’ Wild Stop Walking on Eggshells (380B)

This Trio Won’t Crack Under Pressure!

I was about 8 or 9 years old (one of my first experiences with makeup) the first time I tried a product from Wet ‘n’ Wild, and it was awful!  For some reason, I wanted a nude lipstick and their’s was the cheapest one I could find, but  it was drying and had a terrible plastic taste.  Over the years, I remember some of my friends using Wet ‘n’ Wild, because it was so affordable. Unfortunately, it was one of those “you get what you pay for” brands.  With recent changes to their eyeshadow formula (not sure yet on their lipsticks), Wet ‘n’ Wild is no longer a brand you need to uninterestedly pass by on your way to find a higher quality drugstore brand.

Wet ‘n’ Wild Walking on Eggshells (#380B) Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio (≈ $2.99 USD for 0.12 oz./3.5 g) contains three eyeshadows-labeled as “brow bone,” “crease,” and “eyelid”.  The concept behind this line of shadows is they are “coordinating trio shades [that] take the guesswork out of creating the perfect eye look. The ‘how to’ palettes are created to highlight, define, and accentuate specific eye colors to create unique looks.”

BROW BONE is a light, bone color with a frosted finish.  It has a dense, buttery texture (not at all powdery) and excellent pigmentation.

CREASE is a medium, warm brown with multi-colored micro shimmer and golden, bronze sparkle.  This shade has an incredibly smooth texture, but was powdery.  The pigmentation was awesome, so a little goes a long way with this crease color.

EYELID is a soft peach with a subtle pink undertone (not pink enough to be considered a cool color) and a frost finish.  It has a very smooth texture but was a smidge powdery.  As with the other two shades, this had great pigmentation.

Without a base, this wore for about 10 hours before it started to slightly crease near the inner corner of my eye and I noticed only minor fading.  I did not experience any fallout during application (I do suggest tapping off the excess powder for the crease and eyelid shades), but I did notice a few flecks (literally 3) of sparkle under my eyes after several hours of wear.

The pigmentation, combined with the smooth, easy-to-blend texture, made this an effortless palette to work with.  It is the perfect trio to use when you are in a hurry and still want some color on your eyes.

BEAUTIFUL ON A BUDGET TIP: Be sure to check your Sunday paper for coupons and store ads to receive a better deal than the MSRP.  When it comes to drugstore brands, there is never a reason to pay full price!  ;)
